We have had the pleasure of servicing the Icelandic film and television industry since 1996 and enjoyed the increasing number of foreign production companies choosing our services.
Our goal is to provide your project with the best services we can using our staffs extensive experience and know-how.
Our technical facilities can handle most tape and tape-less formats and can route signals to and from our Audio-Video operations center (KUKL-AVOC) for incoming or outgoing feeds via fiber, microwave or satellite. Or we can up-load your project/files through our high speed internet connection.

Video Post-Production
Whether it´s completing your news story in time for your deadline or editing your feature film and delivering it to the cinema for digital projection, our three fiber-optics linked Final Cut Pro HD edit suites or Avid Media Composer edit suite are up to the task. HD, 2K, RED and 5D workflows are in place as are the top-notch editors to complete your project on time.
With extensive experience in completing news spots, local TV shows, commercials, pilots, events, concerts, plays, series and features from SD 4:3 to 2K we are certain that we can provide the services you need, as you need them.
Our post-production facility is among the best in Iceland and is flexible enough to handle everything from a news story to a full feature. We have three Final Cut Pro edit suites, one Avid Media Composer suite and 30m2 finishing suite used for on-line, colour grading and surround mixing.
Audio Post-Production
Our audio post services can provide all your audio and sound needs.

Concert recordings and other live performances, live events and location sound recording provided by our top notch crews whether for brodcast television or feature films.
Our resident audio wiz, Birgir Tryggvason (also a trained chef), can cook you up some stereo or a full blown surround mix.
Crews
Our crews are Iceland´s elite with extensive production experience.
Our unique dedication to the local talent enables us to provide you with the best available crews in Iceland. From on-your-toes cameramen for Amazing Race type of shoots to attention to details table-tops, we have the right person for your needs.
Iceland's elite crews are on call. Macro nano-shoots to trekking a glacier, camera operators to seasoned feature film DP's, boom operators, sound recordists and musical composers, set design and lighting a cave, underwater and aerial photography. These are but a few of the tasks we undertake each year with our amazing and talented crews.

Outside Broadcast
We've done everything from live standups in front of the Icelandic Parliament to gala concerts in HD.
A live broadcast from a horse-show in the North of Iceland, a multicam broadcast from the nation's top rated song talent show just by the arctic circle, sending a signal through the raging cloud of a erupting volcano or a live concert broadcast world wide are but a few of the fun challenges we've had the pleasure of handling in the past year.
What ever your needs - consider it done.
NOTE: Unfortunately, though all our equipment is HD, the country of Iceland is not yet able to broadcast or up-link live HD as of yet. As we are one of two entities able to transmit a satellite signal out of Iceland, our efforts are understandably on pushing the country's efforts in that direction. In the meanwhile, we've made sure our IP connectivity is big enough to transmit encoded HD signals.
Satellite Services
We get signals through the ashclouds of raging volcano's.
Our satellite facility is in close proximity to our headquarters. We can uplink Standard Definition signals to most satellites with High Definition transmission coming soon. Multiple downlink options are available.

Tape Playout
Everything from Betacam SP to HDCAM
Our technical facilities can support most tape based formats as well as XDCAM, SxS and other memory card formats.
If tape to tape dubs, subtitling, insert edits, assembly and audio dubbing means anything to you, you can come to us with your request.
We can do ingest and playout, or feed the signal to any location within Iceland through fiber, microwave or satellite transmission.
Digital Cinema Mastering
Fully digital screenings - in a cinema near you!
Iceland's world record cinema attendance, per capita, has resulted in the most advanced cinema experience in Europe. The first fully digital cinema multiplex opened in Iceland in November 2010 and most of the other Icelandic screens have gone digital.
Kukl has since late 2007 been offering DCP mastering for digital cinema projection. Countless commercials, a score of short films, a mass of documentaries and a slew of features have gone through our process.

Live and On-Demand Streaming
It is broadcast 2.0
Our own content distribution network (CDN) spans across the telecommunication exchanges in Iceland. The unique design of the system ensures that viewers are taking the shortest path to receive the stream.
We support H.264 based streams to multiple platforms; desktops via Flash player and devices from Apple via HTML5.

Production Services
Some days the only thing you need is a Wi-fi connection to check your email, a friendly face and perhaps a cup of coffee.
The other day you might need to equip and transport your cast and crew to the top of one of Iceland's glaciers to catch the magical rays of the midnight sun.
Then again you might need to spend weeks or months in Iceland, planning, prepping, shooting and wrapping your big project.
